Tissot - Prx Powermatic 80 Blue - T1374071104100
SoloTempo automatic with integrated bracelet
In 1978 Tissot created a quartz model, made remarkable by its slim case, thin hour-markers and steel bracelet. Its wide horizontal lug, typical of the time, was integrated into the flat tonneau-shaped case. Just a few years later, Tissot registered the name PRX. "PR" stands for "precise" and "robust". The "X" stands for the Roman numeral ten and for the pressure of 10 bar, which is the water resistance of the watch. In 2021 Tissot presented the PRX 40 205, a modern interpretation of the 70's model. The 316L-steel case of the Tissot PRX 40 205 is 40 mm-wide, tonneau-shaped, with a thin rounded bezel: the vertical-brushed finishings are alternatively rounded and with polished facets. This specific model is fitted with a blue textured dial with an embossed chequered pattern, called "raised honeycomb". The integrated bracelet provides an ergonomic fit on the wrist as well as a soft skin contact and extreme solidity thanks to its three-fold butterfly clasp. The visual effect of the Tissot design allows for the case to appear even thinner than it really is. The movement is the Powermatic 80 which delivers a power reserve of 80 hours. A splendid gift for a classy man, who loves vintage-style and the timepieces with integrated bracelets. Gift idea for your best man.
